Drive by Inspection    

$25 per visit (once or twice a week)                                              

Martha’s Vineyard Real Estate staff member will stop by your property and walk around the outside to make sure that everything is in order and no one has broken into the house. If something is not right, MVRE will notify the homeowner immediately and wait for instructions. No work will be preformed until approval has been given, unless the property requires immediate remedy (broken water pipes, electrical short or fire).

Property Inspection            

$50 per visit (once or twice a week)

Same services as Drive by Inspections Plus - Plus service includes a thorough inspection of the inside of the house for actual or potential issues.

Monitoring Service                                                  

$50 per hour                         

If a contractor is required for a project inside or outside your house, a MVRE staff member will open the property and monitor the activities of the vendor (short term project like house cleaning) or have periodic inspection of the property on a longer-term project like a construction job, to ensure your house is safe and in good condition before, during and after a project.

Vendor Recommendations and Scheduling

One of the most difficult things for a remote homeowner to do is find reliable and trustworthy vendors and housecleaners. At MVRE, we have a list of companies, individuals and resources to help ensure your house and renters are in good hands.

Opening Services                                                      

$150 plus vendor fees

MVRE can schedule and oversee the opening of your house. MVRE can hire the necessary vendors to ensure your house is ready for the season.

​

This may include: turning on the water, inspecting and servicing the heating/AC units, inspecting the interior and exterior of the property, managing the lawn and garden vendors, and scheduling and overseeing early season cleaning.

Closing Services                                      

$150 plus vendor fees

MVRE can schedule and oversee the closing of your house for the winter. MVRE can hire the necessary vendors to ensure your house is ready.

This may include: turning the water off, draining the pipes, servicing the heating/AC units, inspecting the interior and exterior of the property, managing the lawn and garden vendors, and scheduling and overseeing the final cleaning of the season.

House Cleaning                                       

$50 per turnover

The challenges of finding reliable and quality housekeepers that will arrive in a timely manner and complete their services before the next tenants is sometimes difficult, especially on weekends turnovers. MVRE has a number of companies that have a proven record of meeting their commitments.

We can recommend housecleaning companies at no charge. If a homeowner is looking to have MVRE handle the scheduling and oversight of cleaners, there is a $50 charge per turnover.

Routine Maintenance                            

$100 per project plus vendor fees

MVRE has several vendors in the construction, home maintenance and landscaping services that provide routine maintenance. From weekly lawn mowing to heating and AC yearly maintenance, our services are provided on a flat fee basis to ensure your house is great shape.

Repairs and Renovations                    

Percentage of the total project

MVRE has several vendors in the construction trade if you are looking to renovate or add on to your existing home. We can oversee the hiring, scheduling and monitoring of vendors. The fee for these services is either a flat fee or a percentage of the total project.
